These terms cover your use of marindata.ai, run by Marin Data ("we"). By using the site, you agree to them.

What this site is

The site explains how companies license their records to AI labs and how we can help. Nothing on it is an offer to buy, license or value your data, and nothing on it is legal, tax or financial advice.

Estimates and figures

The estimate is a range based on what AI labs publish for companies of a similar size and history. It is not a valuation or a promise of any price. The figures in our price index and guides come from public sources, which we name. We check them, but we can't guarantee they're complete or current.

Working with us

Using the site or booking a call doesn't make you a client. An engagement starts only when we both sign a written agreement. That agreement governs the work, and it takes precedence over anything on this site.

How Marin Data is paid

We don't charge the companies we work with. There is nothing to pay up front, and nothing at all if no deal closes.

We are paid by AI labs. When a company we introduce signs a license, the AI lab may pay us a referral fee or commission. The lab pays it separately, so it never comes out of what the lab pays you. Marin Data is not an agent of any AI lab, and you decide which lab, if any, to sign with.

What you send us

Only send information you're allowed to share. Don't upload or email your company's records through this site; we won't accept them here.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site: no attempts to break or overload it, no scraping that harms its performance, and no impersonating anyone. Our price index is free to reuse under CC BY 4.0 with a link to the page.

Our content

Apart from the price index, the text, design and code of this site belong to Marin Data. You may quote or link to it, but don't copy it wholesale.

Links to other sites

We link to AI labs' pages and news reports as sources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them. Linking to a lab doesn't mean we work with it.

Liability

The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Marin Data isn't liable for losses that come from using it or relying on its content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes go to the state and federal courts in Marin County, California.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
